- Aboriginal communities neighbouring Imperial Oil Resources operating areas provide the company with a unique opportunity to develop a workforce that is proportionately representative of the qualified aboriginal people within our operating areas. Imperial Oil Resources at Cold Lake has established a training program for individuals of aboriginal ancestry from Cold Lake and the surrounding area. The Internship Program provides paid training and work experience in the petroleum industry at our Cold Lake operation. Internship placements are generally offered in plant operations and field operations. Permanent employment is based on performance during the internship and vacancies available.
