Okanese First Nation in Saskatchewan is home to 190 people.
There is 1 long-term drinking water advisory:
- a boil water advisory was set in August 2020 and became long term in August 2021
The advisory affects 43 homes and 3 community buildings.
Repairs to the water treatment system have been completed. Once operations have improved, the community should be in a position to lift the long-term drinking water advisory.
A capital project to upgrade the system to meet the long-term needs of the community is in the design phase.
