- Applicants must self identify as Indigenous. Applicants must be enrolled in or have applied to a graduate program, officially starting (or will be ongoing) at the funding start date (September 1, 2026), with a significant autonomous research component at a Canadian institution. Joint programs with a professional degree (including professional programs such as master’s/RN) as well as clinically oriented programs of study are eligible, if they have a significant research component. Mandatory abstract deadline: February 18, 2026 (5:00 p.m. EST)
