- ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA- Indigenous Identity: Self-identified as Indigenous through their respective University’s Indigenous Students office. Education & Institution: Enrolled in (or planning to enroll in) an earth sciences or geoscience program at a British Columbia post-secondary institution. Residency: Can be a non-BC resident, but must be enrolled at BC post-secondary institution. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS-Essay (90% Weight): A maximum 2-page essay detailing motivation for pursuing geoscience, educational and career goals, as well as any obstacles faced in pursuing your geoscience education. Transcripts (10% Weight): Transcripts are not required to reflect excellence, but in the event that they demonstrate past struggles with education, should be addressed within the context of the essay or in supporting material. Supporting Documents (Optional): Reference or support letters highlighting exceptional mitigating circumstances.
