Open calls

Education Partnerships Program 2022 to 2023

This program is designed to advance First Nations student achievement in First Nations independent, provincial or territorial schools.

The call for proposals for the Partnerships and Structural Readiness components is now open. The deadline to submit a proposal is June 19, 2022 at 11:59 pm Eastern time.

The call for work plans for the Regional Education Agreement component opened April 1, 2022. The deadline to submit a work plan is December 31, 2022.

Emergency Management FireSmart program call for applications: 2022 to 2023
A call for proposals for applications for 2022 to 2023 is now open. There is no deadline to apply. Proposals will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until funding is exhausted.

High-Cost Special Education Program
Indigenous Services Canada's High-Cost Special Education Program helps eligible First Nations students with high-cost special education needs to access quality programs and services that are culturally sensitive and reflective of generally accepted provincial or territorial standards. The deadline to submit proposals was May 15, 2022 at 11:59 pm Eastern time.
First Nations and Inuit Cultural Education Centres Program
This program provides funding to help preserve and strengthen unique First Nations and Inuit cultures, traditions and languages. The deadline to submit proposals was May 6, 2022.
Inuit Cultural Education Centres Grant Program
This program provides funding to help preserve and strengthen unique Inuit cultures, traditions and languages. The deadline to submit proposals was May 6, 2022.
Research and Learning Program
This program supports research projects that show the positive impacts of educational initiatives for First Nations students. The deadline to submit proposals was April 30, 2022 at 11:59 pm Eastern time.
Innovation in Education Program
This program supports innovative programs and projects, which aim to improve outcomes for First Nations communities, schools and students. The deadline to submit proposals was April 30, 2022 at 11:59 pm Eastern time.
First Nations and Inuit Skills Link Program
This program helps First Nations and Inuit youth acquire essential employment skills and learn about job and career options. The 2022 to 2023 call for proposals to support activities under the First Nations and Inuit Skills Link Program is now closed. The deadline to submit a proposal was February 7, 2022.
First Nations and Inuit Summer Work Experience Program
This program provides youth with summer employment opportunities where they can gain work experience and develop important skills such as communication, problem-solving and teamwork. The 2022 to 2023 call for proposals to support activities under the First Nations and Inuit Summer Work Experience program is now closed. The deadline to submit a proposal was February 7, 2022.

Emergency Management Non-Structural Mitigation and Preparedness program call for application: 2021 to 2022
A call for proposals for applications for 2021 to 2022 under this program is now closed. The deadline to submit a proposal was November 1, 2020. Applications received after the deadline may be assessed and accepted based on the availability of the funding.

Indigenous Community Support Fund: Urban and off-reserve Indigenous organizations and communities
This call for proposals allows Indigenous organizations providing services to Indigenous peoples in urban centres or off reserve to access funding from the Indigenous Community Support Fund to prepare for and react to the spread of COVID-19. The deadline to submit an application was April 13, 2020.
